Suranjan, is an Unani herbal confection of Suranjan Shireen (colchicum), Zanjabeel (dry ginger), Zeera Siyah, Post Halela Zard, Turbud Safavid, Asal (honey) or Sugar, and some other ingredients. This medicine has anti-inflammatory properties, provides relief in joint pain, uric acid reducing and has laxative properties, and is useful in inflammatory conditions of joints.
